Part 1 gives you the 5 first rounds of the Little Star Mandala.

Ok, are you ready? Find your yarn and crochet hook and let’s start!

Notes

• Make an adjustable ring (a magic ring) at start, or work 5 ch, sl st in 5th ch from hook to form a ring.

• Use av standing double crochet as your first stitch on a new round, or replace it with 3 ch.

Pattern

Rnd 1: Make a MR, 20 dc in ring, sl st in first dc to join. (20 dc)

Rnd 2: 1 ch (does not count as st), 1 sc in first dc, [5 ch, 1 sc in second ch from hook, 1 hdc in third ch, 1 dc in fourth ch, 1 tr in fifth ch, skip 3 dc, 1 sc in fourth dc] 4 times, 5 ch, 1 sc in second ch, 1 hdc in third ch, 1 dc in fourth ch, 1 tr in fifth ch, sl in first sc to join. (25 ch, 10 sc, 5 tr, 5 dc, 5 hdc)

Rnd 3: 10 ch (count as 1 tr + 6 ch), [1 sc in sc of next star point, 6 ch, 1 tr in next sc (down between two star points), 6 ch] 4 times, 1 sc in sc of next star point, 6 ch, sl st in fourth ch (first tr) to join. (10 x 6ch-sp, 5 tr, 5 sc)

Rnd 4: Sl st in first 6ch-sp, *(3 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc) in 6ch-sp, fptr round sc in star point, (3 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc) in next 6ch-sp, fptr round tr*, repeat *-* across, sl st in first dc to join. (60 dc, 10 x 2ch-sp, 10 fptr)

Rnd 5: Sl st in second dc, 1 dc in second dc, 1 dc in third dc, (2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc) in 2ch-sp, 1 dc in next 2 dc, skip 1 dc, fptr round fptr, * skip 1 dc, 1 dc in next 2 dc, (2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc) in 2ch-sp, 1 dc in next 2 dc, skip 1 dc, fptr round fptr*, repeat *-* across, sl st in first dc to join. (80 dc, 10 x 2ch-sp, 10 fptr)
