It’s Boiling Potholder
Norsk tekst under
I’m so proud of getting a 4th place in the crochet design competition with this potholder!! To celebrate I want to share the pattern with you for free!
The pattern is written in US terms. You can also get a printable pdf-file in my Ravelry Store. I hope you like it!
Materials
• Cotton yarn; «Safran» (50g/160m) from Drops. Two different colours, 50g in each colour
• Crochet hook 3.0 mm
• 2 rings of wood (4 cm)
• Stitch marker
About the pattern
Start with single crochets around the ring. Then alternate popcorn stitches and double crochet stitches on the front side, and single crochets on the back side. On every row you crochet 3 stitches in the middle stitch. You thus increase by 2 stitches per row. I recommend to use a stitch marker in the middle stitch of those 3 stitches, and move it up for each row. This is where you will place the 3 middle stitches on next row.
Colour changes
Crochet row 1-24 with the main colour, and row 25-26 with contrast colour. Finish with the main colour on row 27. On the second potholder, change main colour to contrast colour and contrast colour to main colour.

“Det bobler over“
